Reason 18 - Condescending Bitch
"They aren't scared enough". Well the surest way to ensure everyone is scared out of their wits is to give her a gun and put her in charge. Let's review her track record - 14 people from the tail survive the crash, she gets put in charge and 4 survive. Hmmmmmm. I think I'd take my chances on the beach. Especially since there is a new sheriff in town.

I guess these are all good reasons, but I gotta say I love Ana Lucia. Not enough of her, I say. She puts a little flava into the show and is very easy on the eyes.
Yeah, she's a bit of a wench, but so is Sawyer. Heck, Sawyer just had Charlie beat up Sun, put the whole camp at risk, and stole all their weapons. If anybody deserves to be polar bear chow, it's Sawyer not Ana Lucia. But to each his own.
